Onyx Equity Traders does not seek outside individual retail investors and we do not have customers. Exceptional traders can come from any walk of life but what they have in common is the ability to assimilate economic data and develop a directional view of the securities markets. While we prefer an economics, math, finance or business degree it is not required and no particular background excludes you a keen analytical mind and knowledge of the financial markets is a plus.

Next we ask our applicants to complete a questionnaire in 3 days or less detailing their ambitions and experience as it relates to their stated goals to become an options trader.
Then a telephone or in person interview is set up.
If you qualify you will receive an invitation to our In-House Training three full days in Atlanta, GA of required training for all remote traders to demonstrate understanding and ability to trade in Onyx Equity Traders Approved Trading Strategies. The candidate once approved and on board will need to show successful virtual trading skills before he/she can trade their own funds, and training is on-going, individually with relationship managers, with your team and trade specialist.
Learn to Trade the Firms Capital
Training to become a Proprietary Options Trader is different than training to trade stock options at home on your own. In order to become a professional trader you will have to demonstrate mastery in the use of the firms Approved Proprietary Trading Methods and Discipline. The training is more technical but can be mastered by those with a burning desire to succeed, who practice and have self discipline combined with keen analytical skills, each trader is different.
Experienced Equity Options Traders

Remote Traders
All Proprietary Options Traders for the firm, whether they are Proprietary Options Traders or Individual Traders, trade remotely from their home/office. Training is on-going in-house from our location in Atlanta. We host On-line video conferencing. We also train individually on-location in the cities where our remote traders trade from. All the necessary technological applications are readily accessible and at the disposal of our traders from novice to professional including relationship managers, trade management and team trading.
Job Opening:
Title: Options Trader
Duties: Calculate and review total yields and trading expenses following proprietary trading policy. Manage P&L and exposure reports, monitor reports, monitor options and implied volatility. Rolling and adjusting based on market conditions. Trade stock option spreads by selecting correct income, entry and exiting positions. Strategies and adjusting trades as necessary.
Requirements: Master’s in Finance or equivalent. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience accepted.
Other: Full Time; Competitive Salary.Travel involved to unanticipated locations within US.
